This year’s Grants UC 2024 for PhD students were awarded to nine of our PhD students. The responsible researchers of the Grants UC 2024 are:

- Monika Janíková – The role of TLR4 and TLR9 receptors in a polymicrobial model of sepsis
- Kristína Lichá – Extracellular vesicles as a prognostic marker of sepsis
- Kristína Macáková – Extracellular DNA in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis
- Tomáš Strečanský – Optimization of pathogen DNA enrichment from artificially infected blood samples for rapid pathogen diagnosis using whole genome nanopore sequencing
- Petronela Sušienková – Influence of endocrine factors on the behaviour of female mice with genetic predisposition to autism spectrum disorders
