New publication in the prestigious scientific journal Molecular Psychiatry

We congratulate our doctoral student Jakub Szabó on his first first-author article, as well as our colleagues under the leadership of associate professor Petr Celec in the prestigious journal Molecular Psychiatry. The published work investigated the effect of chronic intranasal oxytocin treatment on the autistic phenotype in the Shank3B-/- mutant mouse model of autism spectrum disorder. Daily intranasal administration of oxytocin prevented social deficits, and even 4 weeks after the end of treatment, the animals showed reduced interest in their surroundings and slightly attenuated repeated self-injurious behaviour.
