We continue to publish articles. The first article is a cross-sectional study on the associations of leukocyte, erythrocyte, and platelet counts with metabolic syndrome and its components in young individuals without obvious signs of inflammation. Another published article is a review of the adverse effects of acute tubular injury on the glomerulus and the contributing factors and mechanisms. The last one is an article that arose from the collaboration with the Institute of Physiology of the Faculty of Medicine of the Comenius University in Bratislava and concerns the evaluation of selected components of the Gabaergic system in the olfactory regions of the brain and primary olfactory neurons isolated from mice with shank3 deficiency, which are known for their phenotype autism-like behaviour.
